Thanks Joe Biden! I no longer wish to be Patriotic anymore.

September 18, 2008 Aurvant 2 comments

Why? Because Biden has a seriously eff’ed up definition of what it means to be patriotic.

Biden says he and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama want to “take money and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people.”

Under the Democrats’ economic plan, people earning more than $250,000 a year would pay more in taxes while those earning less — the vast majority of American taxpayers — would receive a tax cut.

Biden told ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday that, in his words, “it’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut.”

Yeah, thanks but no thanks. I would rather NOT have the government take anymore money from the higher achievers of this society and have it being redistributed around at some government officials discretion. Why is the top achievers of the American public being the ones who are punished in this plan anyways? Because they’re successful? Because they’re wealthy and have lots of money?

In a nutshell? Yes.

Under Obama/Biden you, the American citizen, would be punished for being successful and being an over-achiever in the new society they wish to build. They’re plan isn’t a new one and it’s been tried in numerous other countries before. Namely, countries that are heavily invested in Soclialism and Communism have always been promoting the idea of “Wealth Distribution” which is exactly what these “taxes on the evil rich” are. It is a plan to, and I’m not going to sugercoat this, STEAL more money from the wealthy and successful people of America just so they can prop up the poor and unsuccessful all in the name of “fairness”.

The problem with that is that it isn’t fair at all. The successful crowd is actually going to be punished and have their wages torn from them so that it can be given to people who:

  • Don’t Work
  • Live on Welfare
  • Have made bad decisions in life
  • Who do not strive to be the best
  • Who are less productive than the “evil rich”
  • Who do not contribute to society

That may seem a bit harsh for me to list all that out there, but remember, I’m not being patriotic anymore due to Biden’s definition that “paying more taxes” is patriotic. I don’t want to pay more taxes, and I would prefer to pay LESS taxes or NONE AT ALL for that matter. I do not wish to see people who have made their lives comfortable and successful have their wages stripped from them just so that it can be handed down to some lazy individual who decided they only wanted to do what was “good enough” instead of what was best.

You know what’s REALLY patriotic?

  • Getting a career.
  • Getting a college education.
  • Working more than just the minimum 40-hour work week and getting that extra money.
  • Actually contributing to society instead of waiting on the government to do everything for you.
  • Supporting your family through hard work and perseverance.
  • Supporting your country in times of War and danger.
  • Standing up for individual liberties and keeping the spirit of individualism alive.
  • Serving your country and supporting the love and defense of it.

None of the things involved with REAL patriotism (and there are more but I don’t have the time) have a damn thing to do with paying higher taxes, so if Obama/Biden is what I have to look forwards to for the next four years and this crock of s*** about higher taxes is what they define as patriotism? Then color me unpatriotic.

Video’s of Biden making those statements and my reactions below the fold.

What a crock of s**t.

I seriously hate that smug little smile on his face. It’s that same type of “slick car salesman” smile that alludes to the fact that you know this deal is going to screw you over somewhere down the line.

F***! – House passes crappy, stupid, fake “drilling” bill.

September 17, 2008 Aurvant 1 comment

I’ve been saying this for a month of so now and this drilling bill called the “Gang of Ten” compromise is nothing but a big fat lie. Well, apparently nobody (but a few of us) are taking this thing seriously because it just got passed in the house.

The bill is HR6899 and it was passed 236-189 yesterday.

Damnit.

I don’t have the massive amounts of traffic that many of my blogging allies get it, so is nigh impossible for me to motivate anyone to starting some type of outcry on the same level that we saw the American public stand up and stamp out that piece of crap Amnesty bill that McCain and Kennedy tried to pass a while back. The majority of the Americans who see this type of bill being passed must really think that it will allow drilling to the point that it will help lower gas prices.

WRONG!!!!!!!

The Bill incorporates some of the highest tax hikes on oil producers in this country that I have ever heard of. Nearly $80 billion in tax increases for domestic oil companies who wish to actually explore this tiny area the bill opens up while funneling government money in to stupid, failed alternative fuels and renewable energies.

The Bill is a HOAX and does nothing to help us at the pump. The bill is merely designed to allow the democrats breathing room politically so that they can say in the future: “Hey, look, we voted on a drilling bill and it didn’t do anything.”

Which is WHAT THEY WANT. We shouldn’t be compromising with the Dems on this issue. Why? Because we can beat them on this issue. We can actually BEAT them on this topic and were just going to take appeasement over actual victory. Well, luckily for me two of the senators supporting this piece of crap “energy bill” are in my state and they are up for re-election. Hopefully my state will kick them out of office come election day.

Whoopi asks dumbest question ever. Ambushes McCain on “The View”

September 16, 2008 Aurvant Leave a comment

Really? Did she REALLY ask McCain is she was going to have to worry about being a slave again? What the hell type of question is that? That has to be the most pathetic and ignorant type of question that I have ever seen anyone try and ask.

The problem with Whoopi’s “assessment” of what McCain is trying to say is that she doesn’t understand how the government actually works. Roe Vs. Wade was never, and has never, been legislated or passed in to federal or state law. Roe Vs. Wade was a supreme court RULING which gave precedent over a certain situation which forced a psuedo-law in to being. However, on the subject of slavery, it is an issue that has been addressed by the Constitution (the basis of our law) itself and was abolished using proper legislative procedures and amendments. Abortion, however, has never been handled by the consitution nor has it ever been voted on in a legislative setting on a federal level. THAT’S why McCain said it was a bad idea because it is NOT the Judicial branches duty, nor is it within their power, to create legislation from the bench.

Overturning Roe V. Wade would actually be GOOD because it would remove erroneous precedents from history so that we can allow proper legislation to take place on the matter, and only on the state level at that.

Whoopi is just a leftist tard who has now shown that she is just as crazy as her predecessor.

Time: Global Warming strikes again…with Asthma!!!

September 16, 2008 Aurvant 1 comment

That’s right folks! The unseen deadly force that is Global Warming, being thwarted lately with lack of Sunspots and decreasing Global temperatures, has finally devised its plan to fight back against the rising reputation it has for being a big phoney. How? By going straight for your allergies!

Time seems to think that the rise in global temperatures, which have actually been decreasing, will be good for planets due to all of that nasty carbon dioxide in the air. Plants eat that stuff up.

Anyways, if you global warming alarmists thought that your allergies were bad then you just wait. Global Warming is about to rock your socks off, so I suggest you get that Claritin pack ready.

Recent research suggests that global warming will also exacerbate respiratory allergies, as higher CO2 concentrations lead to vast increases in ragweed pollen production. “There’s no denying there’s a change,” says Paul Ratner, an immunologist with the American College of Allergies. “It’s definitely bad news for people who have allergies.”

OH NOES!!!

It gets worse from here folks:

The World Health Organization estimates that 300 million people globally have asthma, with 250,000 dying from the disease each year. That rate is up considerably over the past few decades, and scientists say a number of factors could be at work. One clear reason is rising levels of ragweed pollen — which can be connected directly to rising levels of CO2.

Don’t bother looking for a graph or anything that actually proces that statement, for Time has found it convenient to omit any type of evidnce that might back up that claim. However, I imagine that if flowers were FLOURISHING that pollen levels would rise, but then again I thought that if plants were flourishing then there would be more of them to gobble up all of the excess CO2.

So, what can people do to stop the rise of monster allergies and prevent an M. Knight Shamalamaramabam type “Happening” from coming to fruition?

Stupid Congress still trying to pass bogus Energy bill.

September 16, 2008 Aurvant Leave a comment

I’ve talked about this ridiclous and absurd “energy plan” before, and it bears repeating that I think it’s a big stinking pile of s***. As I’ve pointed out in the past the bill is hardly any type of compromise because it doesn’t really DO anything to relieve the pressure at the pump or on anyone for that matter. The bill is designed to open up a tiny, tiny, insignificant amount of drilling space in the Outer Continental shelf. While that seems like a kinda, sorta good idea it, at the same time, imposes ridiculous tax hikes and penalties upon the Oil companies for starting up exploration in that area.

Not to mention it funnels a ridiclous amount of taxpayers funds in to subsidiaries to try and fund alternative energy projects which have proven to be nothing but wapourware in the past. With most of the money being funneled in to alternative projects and huge tax increases being imposed upon the oil companies the price of gas per gallon will hardly fall, but might increase instead. If you want to know how great all those alternative and renewable subsidiaries have been doing? Just look at the last 3-4 years. Congress has passed TWO energy bills which are filled to the brim with subsidiaries for alternative and renewable energy plans. can you guess what Gas prices have done since then???

They have risen by almost $1.50 a gallon.

Can you imagine what they will do if we continue this course of wasting money on renewable sources and alternative fuels WHILE still purchasing the majority of our oil from overseas? You think $4.00 a gallon is bad? You just wait.

It’s time we “Drill, drill, drill” and people in congress need to figure that out.

*Facepalm* – Obama doesn’t remember where he is anymore.

September 9, 2008 Aurvant Leave a comment

Obama identifies one of those 57 states of America.

To be fair, everyone makes gaffe’s at some point. It just so happens though that Obama’s are frequent and usually downright hilarious. If he had laughed it off and CORRECTED himself then it would have been fine. However, the fact that he just quietly goes on with his speech completely oblivious to the fact that he has just named a state that doesn’t technically exist….well…you can see why it’s funny now.

Perhaps the anointed one refuses to corrected? Perhaps his heavenly powers are so divine that during his presidency he will FORCE “New Pennsylvania” in to existence with the sheer will that is his divine right?

Well, until that happens he just continues to look like a knucklehead.

Major News: Kim Jong Il might have suffered a stroke.

September 9, 2008 Aurvant Leave a comment

U.S. officials claim that the N. Korean leader is seriously ill.

South Korea’s largest daily, the Chosun Ilbo, said Kim, 66 and suspected of suffering from chronic illness, collapsed last month, citing a South Korean diplomatic source in Beijing.

Kim failed to show up for the anniversary parade that featured displays of armaments, legions of goose-stepping soldiers and tens of thousands of fawning North Koreans shouting praises to him in unison, according to a North Korea state TV broadcast monitored in Seoul.

These types of military fanfare events are right up Kim’s alley, so when the guy doesn’t show up to one it seems a bit suspicious. Kim’s health, apparently, is supposed to be a closely guarded secret and whenever he’s been asked about it he always claims he is in perfect health. Then again…Fidel Castro said the exact same thing leading up to his own stepping down as communist leader of Cuba. Still, other nations say not to get to invested in the belief that Kim is actually sick. Japan thinks there is another type of motive behind his absence:

“He may also not wanted to appear because international aid is drying up and the country might have had trouble giving out presents to its people to mark the anniversary,” said Shunji Hiraiwa, a professor at the University of Shizuoka in Japan.

Yeah, well, international aid is probably drying up because people do not want to send N. Korea anymore money or funding. It never gets used on its people and is usually funneled in to the military or some nuclear energy or missile project. They threaten everyone around them with missile tests and talks of weaponry being built and designed which forces concessions from other regions, but it is becoming apparent that these other regions are pretty much tired of Kim’s bullcrap.

Either way we’ll find out soon enough if he’s sick or just hiding from the public eye.

Awesome: Olbermann and Matthews dropped from MSNBC election coverage as anchors.

September 8, 2008 Aurvant Leave a comment

MSNBC does something smart for once.

Oh, they’ll still be around as analysts but it looks like you wont be hearing about any tingles up their legs anytime soon. MSNBC has taken a huge hit of criticism lately because they had tossed aside the veil of unbiased coverage and deliberately went as hard left as they possibly could.

After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.

The change — which comes in the home stretch of the long election cycle — is a direct result of tensions associated with the channel’s perceived shift to the political left.

I don’t really like David Gregory either but he isn’t a slobbering egotistical moron like Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews. Then again….this kinda does put a bit of a damper on my election coverages. I could always count on MSNBC for a laugh because Olby and Matthews would pretty much completely melt down in to rabid, frothing leftists and just make themselves look like asses everytime the camera was on them.

Oh well, at least I don’t have to hear how offended Olby is anymore at how  the Republicans dare to mention 9/11. Wow, Ashamed that his network would air a 9/11 tribute video, but if the humidity in New Orleans hits above 85% they break out the Katrina videos and flood the news with every gruesome detail of the disaster.

I believe we all know who is really exploiting what here.

OH SHI- : CERN prepares to divide by zero.

September 8, 2008 Aurvant Leave a comment

As if Doomsday needed a cover story!

SRSLY crazy science. I know that the scientists from all over the world have stated that the machine is practically harmless, but this thing is also being made by the french. Which brings up an interesting belief I’ve always had that France would somehow be involved in the worlds destruction.

Ya know….to get back at everyone for making fun of them for surrendering in just about every war they’ve been in? Yeah, this has mad science written all over it.

heh, I kid.

In all seriousness though, this could seriously be something great or something worthless, and considering that CERN dumped 10 billion dollars in to the project (which was funded by governments) I’m pretty much guessing that everyone of those scientists are hoping and possibly praying that this thing does exactly what they say it will.

If it doesn’t then I’m betting they’ll be hoping it does create a black hole to suck up all that debt they’ll be in.

Left Unhinged: 250 protestors arrested during McCain speech.

September 5, 2008 Aurvant 1 comment

If you were watching the McCain speech at all during last night you might have seen a few of the clips of a few crazy protestors who managed to get in to the arena and were holding up signs. You might, if you were watching MSNBC, have caught a glimpse of a rather hidious looking woman strip out of her jacket and down to a pink dress and try and rush the stage. Obviously the left is getting a bit nervous of the republican competition and that’s why they do these kind of things. However, if you thought that was all that was going on….

You would be wrong.

Police arrested more than 250 protestors during McCain’s speech last night in St. Paul.

The peaceful protest, dubbed “No Peace for the Warmakers,” drew nearly 1,000 people who had planned to march to the downtown convention hall where the Republicans met.

Marchers chanted “Who is the terrorist? McCain is the terrorist” as they tried to cross several bridges that span Interstate 94 into downtown St. Paul, but were blocked by police.

It always amazes me to see people describe a protest so filled with anger and hatred as “peaceful” but whatever. I guess most of them knew it was supposed to be peaceful, but apparently a few of them didn’t get the memo:

Walsh said most would be cited for unlawful assembly and released. One person was found with a semiautomatic pistol, for which he had a permit, and others were found with bags of feces, he said.

Feces? Really? Did these people walk around scooping up abandoned piles of dog poo from peoples yards, or were they actually taking craps in bags and planning on throwing them at people? I know that the left things we conservatives are somehow weird and delusional because we believe in things like God and Morals, but I think it is high time for them to start looking at themselves in the mirror. Seriously, who’s the crazy one here? The one who believes in God or the one who is keeping bags of fecal matter on their person to throw at someone?

The real creepy thing is that these people are Obama supporters. These are the people who are so invested in Obambi’s success and are responsible for elevating Obama to cult status. They fling feces at people one minute and then point fingers at us conservatives and scream “crazy!” the next. It’s like they live in some bizzarro world where up is left and down is russia.

Oprah refusing to invite Palin to protect Obama?

September 5, 2008 Aurvant 9 comments

It sure as hell seems that way.

Looks like the Queen of daytime media has gotten herself in to a bit of a pickle. Considering Oprah’s audience is mostly female one would think that she would invite Palin on to speak to her about being the first female on a Republican ticket, or how energizing she has been to the Republican base. However, you would be wrong if you thought Oprah wanted to do that.

Why?

Because she’s already endorsed Barack “I organized the hell out of a crapload of communities” Obama. So, by inviting Palin on the show she obviously feels that she would be damaging Obama in the process, and the funny thing is that she is right. Sarah Palin, who is not even Obama’s direct competition, has been robbing The Anointed One’s spotlight ever since her name first appeared on the scene, and Oprah knows that having Palin on the show would definately open up a chance for Palin to knock Ole’ Barry down a notch.

However, here’s the pickle:

“Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on,” an insider explains. “Oprah’s website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama.”

One executive close to Winfrey is warning any Palin ban could ignite a dramatic backlash!

So, Oprah, who has adamantly sided only with Obama now finds herself stuck between her own political preference and her audience. She is actually risking alienating many of her own watcher-base to protect the Obamessiah. However, if this executive is correct then Oprah could see a backlash large enough to force her to extend an invitation to Palin.

Is the the best election ever? or is it the BEST ELECTION EVER?!

UPDATE: It would seem that Oprah has issued a comment to TMZ about the story that appeared on Drudge about Oprah refusing to invite Palin.

“The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

Except for the fact that Obama has been on her show. Twice. However, it should be noted that he did make those appearances before he was running for President.

There is one thing I would like to add to this story though. I think that Oprah is full of it and she is lying through her damn teeth. If Oprah has not wanted to use her show as a platform for any of the candidates she shouldn’t have even publicly endorsed Obama in the first place. She knew full well that her popularity would help give Obama a boost in the polls during the primaries and that’s why she went and met with him on stage and then gave her announcement. She didn’t have to physically make the announcement on her show because she knew that her popularity, whether she is sitting on set or not, is paramount.

She’s basically trying to claim that her “show” is politically unbiased while she isn’t. The only problem is that Oprah IS her show. You can’t publicly endorse a candidate and give speeches about him while claiming that your keeping your show unbiased. It just doesn’t work that way.

Personally? I think she’s afraid of Palin as is most of the left these days.

Heart condemns use of “Barracuda” during the RNC

September 5, 2008 Aurvant 2 comments

Old, washed-up, 80’s rock band “Heart” apparently didn’t appreciate the use of their song “Barracuda” during the RNC convention the other night.

Due to Sarah Palin being referred to as “Sarah Barracuda” during her basket ball days in High school the RNC felt that it would be a good reference to use in reference to her today since she has risen to GOP fame in a matter of days. However, it seems that the use of the song has upset the artists who created it and have asked Universal and Sony BMG to send a “cease and desist” letter to the Republican campaign to stop further use of the song.

I know that one day when I become a musician I’ll also want to stop people from listening to my music. I mean, seriously, this is like the first time in almost twenty years that someone has wanted to listen to Heart’s music on purpose, and what do they do? They demand the damned music be silenced.

Here’s what they had to say:

“We have asked the Republican campaign publicly not to use our music. We
hope our wishes will be honored,” the group said in a statement that said they “condemn” the use of the song at the Republican convention.

I’m not an expert on intellectual property rights or play rights when it comes to music, but I’m fairly certain that the McCain/Palin campaign just has to purchase further rights to the song if they so desired to use it in their campaign regardless of how much Heart “condemns” it. I may be wrong about that, but it would be hilarious if I’m right.

While nobody was looking – Senate cuts deal on Energy plans

September 4, 2008 Aurvant Leave a comment

The problem is that the deal actually sucks.

Over the summer a group of five GOP and five Democratic senators, dubbed the Gang of 10, hammered out a comprehensive energy proposal. And now, after taking withering heat from both left and right, the idea is gaining support.

Yeah, a compromise that really only benefits the Democrats and those who oppose “big oil” and all of its supposed evils. Sure, it has allowances for drilling in the compromise, but the drilling is severely limited and does not include the outer continental shelf or any drilling in the Alaskan shelf or ANWR. Basically the Dems get all of those mostly unproven and extremely expensive alternative energy sources to fund, and the GOP gets to drill….just not in the places that we’ve been wanting to drill.

Now, MSNBC will make a big deal over this and claim that the senate is finally trying to break away from “partisan politics” except that they don’t really tell you that the scales are severely unbalanced. The gang of 10 is made up of five republicans who have broken away from the vast majority of their base in order to appease the democrats who oppose the “drill here, drill now” mantra. However, the five democrats who are maing this “deal” aren’t in the minority of their party because we already know that the left side of the aisle was willing to accept this deal when it first appeared.

So, while we were all watching the DNC and RNC coverage the senate has decided to cut a seriously bad deal to try and end the energy issue. The dems will be able to claim “look, we drilled!” and the GOP will be able to say “Look! we compromised!’ except the GOP side hasn’t figured out that they, once again, are bad end of the deal.

Roger Simon: Douchebag

September 4, 2008 Aurvant Leave a comment

Seriously, he’s such a ridiculously idiotic tool. In an attempt to come off as smug and sarcastic by “apologizing” for “asking questions” the only thing he really accomplishes is exposing just how much a smug little bitch he really is.

On behalf of the elite media, I would like to say we are very sorry.

We have asked questions this week that we should never have asked.

We have asked pathetic questions like: Who is Sarah Palin? What is her record? Where does she stand on the issues? And is she is qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?

We have asked mean questions like: How well did John McCain know her before he selected her? How well did his campaign vet her? And was she his first choice?

Bad questions. Bad media. Bad.

Actually, Roger, it wasn’t those questions that people were complaining about. Those questions were asked, and answered, within the very first few days that Sarah Palin had been announced as McCain’s running mate. Thsoe questiosn aren’t something to apologize for, but the ridiculous smear campaign that began AFTER those questions had been answered is what people are calling you to task for.

You’ve let that batshit-crazy section of your party take over and create the template, so instead of legitimate questions and stories about Palin’s accomplishments or her stances you’ve resorted to obsessing over her daughters pregnancy and whether or not there is some sort of conspiracy scandal buried underneath.

There’s more that you should be ashamed of, but I don’t have the bandwidth to waste on listing all of your faults. So, in the words of one of my fellow bloggers “Eff you, Roger Simon” and the rest of your liberal douchebag media friends who’ve tried your damndest to ruin Sarah Palin and push her off the ticket.

Thanks goes to DPUD.
