Seriously, since Fred Thompson’s exodus from the campaign trail I could give a crap about this election anymore. Considering that the American people just lost the one politician who actually gets it I just don’t see why I should care anymore.

Apparently my country IS filled with idiots. If it wasn’t then why in God’s nameĀ is McCain or Huckabee being hailed as the “Republican front runners”. Only stupid people who have no business voting would actually put their support behind those two.

I’m not going to smash on Romney. The mainstream media and the anti-mormon crowd does enough of that. However, I don’t know if I can even vote for him either. He is “conservativy” but I’m not real big on voting for people who are conservative-lite. So, yeah, I’m pretty much disgusted.

So, thanks America, for robbing me of what faith in my countrymen I had left. You did a bang up job.

So, here’s a video for all of you. (except for like a few people and you know who you are)

It’s Fred’s own fault. He ran a lackadaisical, lackluster campaign. I sometimes think he did to undermine Romney and Obama, both of whom whole “stole” voters away from. This tactic helped McCain - Fred’s longtime friend - immensely.

I really wouldn’t be surprised to see a McCain-Thompson Republican ticket going up against Clinton-Edwards Democrat ticket in the general elections.

Oh, I know its his own fault. I was being sarcastic in a sense, but I do feel that people just avoided Fred just because they wanted to go with that they already knew.

Not to mention the absolute media blackout Fred and Giuliani have received. It doesn’t surprise me at all that nobody was able to pay any attention to either one of them. Yeah, Fred’s campaign was lackluster but that still doesn’t change the fact that his platform was still ran as the most consistent conservative candidate, and regardless if he is friends with McCain or not doesn’t really say anything about how he would have done if nominated and elected.

McCain is also real good friends with Hillary Clinton, so does that mean he is going to run as a socialistic country-wrecking liberal? No….his positions on immigration, tax cuts, climate change (he bought in to the whole WE ARE THE PROBLEM! mantra) and the class warfare rhetoric that will be damaging….not who he is friends with.

As a secondary candidate? I’d probably go with Mitt….he seems conservative-ish enough to pass the bill (though this only comes from suspiciously changing his stances on a lot of issues). My problem is now that Fred is gone I don’t really find any of them to be conservative enough to be considered as a viable candidate.

SO! between a rock and hard place I wait to be convinced who should get my vote, and I can tell you McCain is already OFF my ballot.
