That totally pulled Huckabee ad got played on Fox but it was still SO totally pulled.
You would think that an ad that was supposed to be canned would have been, in fact, completely canned and NOT sent out to news outlets where it would be shown in its entirety over and over and over again. The Huckabee HQ claims to have “missed the memo” but i’m not buying that. In the ad’s defense it isn’t as bad as many of the media is letting on but it does hit quite deftly below the belt and seems far too abrasive coming from the man who claimed that he was running on a more lighthearted campaign.
This is why I will vote for Fred. He hasn’t stooped down to the level of petty mudslinging and the reason is pretty self explanatory really. If Fred had even glared at another candidate the wrong way they would have just quit the race immediately out of sheer fright, but he doesn’t cause he wants to give them a “fighting chance”.
I can definitively say that Fox never received recall notice for that ad.
On another note, what part of Thompson’s platform appeals to you? I’m honestly curious since I admit that I haven’t considered him a serious candidate to-date.
