Murtha’s office doesn’t like being asked about the Haditha Marines.

In case your memory isn’t working right or you haven’t figured out why this is important or funny let me refresh your memory. Back when the case first appeared regarding the killings in Haditha Rep. Jack Murtha, who was quite talkative at the time, basically blackballed these marines and accused them of atrocious crimes against humanity. Given the fact that he made such claims with basically no information on the case whatsoever I find it to be divine justice that these Marines were let off the hook for a crime they didn’t commit.
Besides, Mr. Abscam has other problems on top of this one. Looks like he’s been getting fat off pork plates lately.
Murtha is a joke but not a good one. I’m just glad for the fighters. These young cats are over there carrying the load. I hope they were never even bothered by that blowhard’s comments. And keep up the good work. Isn’t that Michelle Maulkin fine! I,m out. later

Dear Congressman Murtha,
Back, over a year ago, some Marines were charged with atrocities in Haditha, Iraq. The anti-military, hate-America, pro-Islamo-Nazi, Left-wing press here loved the story. It received tremendous coverage.
Shortly after that, you extra-judiciously convicted those Marines in some extremely intemperate public statements. This too received wide coverage from the hate-America media.
Now, the case against those American heroes is falling apart. Several, against whom you leveled vicious calumnies, have been completely exonerated.
These eventualities have been subject to a complete media blackout.
I believe that if you issued a public apology, it would be newsworthy enough that the media would have to cover it. Those members of the American public, who, sadly, get their news of the world from the New York Times and CNN, would be uplifted and heartened to know that their precious soldiers were slandered and defamed by America’s enemies and had done nothing to bring shame to their calling and their country.
I am hoping that your status as a Marine will prompt you to do the right thing and rise above the cheap, fat, little corrupt, partisan hack of a power-grubbing, egomaniacal machine politician that you are today.
Please, won’t you say something on behalf of our brave fighting men? I know you despise them all for their role in carrying out the orders of their commander-in-chief because of their misfortune to be Marines at a time when the president is of the opposite political party from the great John Murtha.
Can’t you put aside your raw lust for power for one minute? You must have been a human being at some point in your life. Please hearken back to that time and act like one now.
Call the press. Issue an apology.
