And comes away a bit abrasive. HotAir has an article and video up on it too.
As an opponent of the idea of Universal Healthcare and Socialized Medicine (I know they are practically the same thing, but im not going to argue against it here.) I have to say that I find Clinton’s marks just as misleading as she claims the critic was. She said that she was never a proponent to Socialized Medicine and that she has never advocated the idea of implementing a system like that.
Really?
Everyone forget Hillarycare?
One of the goals of the Clinton Health Care System was that the patients would be settled in to government controlled and watched HMO programs and that people would be given designated physicians. The difference between Hillarycare and the single payer system that makes up socialized medicine? Clinton figured out how to get the government out of paying the bill. Her original healthcare system made it so that you, the insured, were still paying for the service through your workplace (as you most do now) however you lose the ability to choose your physicians or hospitals in which you want care.
In other words, Clinton wanted to create a system that was controlled by the government yet not funded by the government. Facism? Yeah, it is. It’s privately funded yet government controlled and owned. Not really beneficial to the insured.
I’ve gotten a bit off base, but I was trying to focus on the topic and not the reaction. If you want to see the reaction just click on the link to HotAir above. She pretty much calls the guy a moron and she then directs him over to her staff where he can be “re-educated and he could stop the rhetoric”
