Obama – Invade Pakistan?

I really really don’t like Barack Obama but it seems the kid’s got some stones.

Albeit they are some pretty misguided and naive stones, but at least the guy’s showing some initiative as far as wanting to use our military. I’m pretty much all for sacking up a bunch of miscreants in the middle east (Lord knows it’s full of em) but I just think Obama is jumping the gun on this one.

Obama said that as commander in chief he would remove troops from Iraq and putting them “on the right battlefield in Afghanistan and Pakistan.” He said he would send at least two more brigades to Afghanistan and increase nonmilitary aid to the country by $1 billion.

Soooo…..He want’s to send all the troops we have now in Iraq TO Afghanistan and Pakistan plus two more brigades? Then he wants to spend a billion more dollars in nonmilitary aid than we are spending now? I thought the democrats were all Anti-war, for “bringin’ the troops home!”, and all up in arms about invading countries, but as you can clearly see Obama is talking about increasing military might in the middle east AND invading another country.

Hypocrite? probably. He’s also a certifiable idiot for going out and saying this too. Not only is he showing how naive he is by saying something like this but he also contradicts himself in the same speech.

“He confuses our mission,” Obama said, then he spread responsibility to lawmakers like Clinton who voted for the invasion. “By refusing to end the war in Iraq, President Bush is giving the terrorists what they really want, and what the Congress voted to give them in 2002: a U.S. occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences.”

Really? How is that any different than what he is also proposing. There isn’t any proof that Bin Laden is holed up in Pakistan. We just assume, based on educated guesses, that he might be. Not to mention the US military just up and saying “We’re done with Iraq now….Here’s lookin’ at you Pakistan” isn’t exactly going to help our image over there.

Not like we should really care what a bunch of murderous fantics think of us, but you know….for diplomacy’s sake. Besides, his own plan has no determinable consequence, no determinable cost or length. He isn’t proposing anything different than what the Bush administration is doing in Iraq. He just wants to change the battlefield.
